Most lunches, I found myself in the library. OK, so I did have another friend. The librarian. But that just made the other kids dislike me even more. Or possibly envy me.

A single tear ran down my soft, rosy cheek, wetting my pale skin. I wished I didn't have the beauty I knew I had, for it made them envy me further. I wish I wasn't so smart, so they wouldn't tease me about being a 'teacher's pet' or a 'nerd'. I wished I had a friend.
